What Is Contours Australia?

Contours Australia is set of FREE transparent 10m contour maps that cover all of Australia only for the Garmin Mapping GPS.  As the maps are just contour lines they are to be used with other products like City Navigator, Metroguide, Shonky Maps, Open Street Map or any other Australian Garmin formatted maps to turn them into topo like maps.  The mapset is 733MB in size and there is 117 maps in the set. Partial areas can be loaded.  10m contour line are shown on the GPS out to the 300m zoom, 50m from the 500m to 1.2km zoom and 100m from the 2km and above when the GPS detail level is set normal. Set your GPS detail to Most and you will see the 10m contours out the 1.2km zoom.

As these maps are unofficial Garmin maps, you will not get any support from Garmin Australia.  If you need support then goto www.gpsaustralia.net forum where myself or one of the users will try to help you out.  Please note you use these maps at your own risk.  To date no one has had any problems using them on their computer or GPS.  If they do break your computer, software or GPS then it is your problem and you have been warned.
